American Recovery and Reinvestment Act Funds to Improve Schools

Education funds provided through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) create an opportunity to invest in resources that strengthen teacher quality, improve child outcomes and close the achievement gap for students with disabilities. The Institute on Disability (IOD) provides evidence-based, expert professional development and technical assistance in New Hampshire and nationally. Offering single and multi-day seminars and workshops as well as customized, on-site support for educators, students with disabilities, their families, and community teams.

Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD)
Transition to Employment
Literacy Assessment and Training
Team Planning Model
Designing Communication Supports
Functional Behavioral Assessment (FBA)
Person-Centered Planning
Addressing Social Interactions and Social Needs for Students
Developing Positive Behavioral Support (PBIS) Plans
Response to Intervention (RtI)

Offerings include a comprehensive needs assessment and analysis of student-specific, classroom, school, and district-wide educational needs and development of a professional development/technical assistance plan that responds to priority needs.

Fee Structure
IOD provides needs assessment, consultation, technical assistance and professional development at affordable rates. Services are offered on a daily, half-day, and hourly basis.
