I am full time back in Florida and we are getting ready for a second hurricane that is headed our way this season. Maybe I should have stayed in Michigan? Our prayers go out to all that were affected by Helene how horrible that was. You always have plenty of time to prepare for a hurricane so that is helpful but you never know how bad it will be! We are in a pretty safe zone so typically we are ok. We usually just lose power for a while and have a lot of water I’m hoping that is all that will happen this time. Just charging everything in case!
In between getting ready for a hurricane I have also been getting ready to attend a Day in the Dirt race. There is one here in Florida in March and now they have added a second one in Pennsylvania. They have asked me to join this year so my brother and I will be driving up this week, hopefully we can avoid the bad weather. A few of my friends will be racing with me in the group races. It is always very fun you take turns doing laps as a team! Some people dress up so its kind of a different feeling out there, racing and riding for fun with your friends. Everyone always has a great time. We will be camping for a couple of days at the track, I am really looking forward to it! I will keep you posted on how it all turns out.
My mom and I just flew up to Michigan for the week. I got to visit with my grandpa and cousins and I also went back up to Grand Rapids to hang out with a few of my friends. The flight was a little rough, but I made it through haha. We went to the MGM casino, hit a cider mill and a Halloween pop up while we were there. We are always jamming everything in when we get to Michigan but we have a great time! I always drag my mom to Miller’s it is a very old bar and has been there forever. They have the best burgers ever and they do everything on the honor system so you just go up to the bar and tell them what you ordered! It you are ever in Michigan in Dearborn you have to go there, it is on Michigan avenue.
My birthday is coming up soon and I love everything about Halloween. We will be going to Halloween Horror Nights to celebrate my birthday I am so excited! We have also been trying to find some bars that are doing Halloween pop ups or cool drinks! My mom and I hit one in Michigan, we also went to Disney Springs and got a “creepy” margarita drink. This past weekend we went to a pop up in Downtown Saint Augustine it was decorated really great. I will keep looking to try and find some more Halloween things to drag my family and friends to!
